Paige Kitchen
Paige Kitchen was born in Mesa, Arizona and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a senior at Grimsley High School and enjoys learning about youth and media interactions at the international level. She became involved with the Greensboro Youth and Media Festival last year and enjoyed learning about the impact that social media and technology has on youth today. It has inspired her to delve deeper into the creative ways that social media is used to express different mediums of art. She is undecided on her college for next year.
She is an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate and a member of the Student Council, National Society of High School Scholars, Latin Club President (JCL), and Sierra Club.

ROBERTA ROHAN
Ms. Rohan, a National Board Certified Teacher with 20 years in classroom, has a BA and MA in Mathematics, is a Siemens AP Teacher Award Winner, and is involved in a NASA Grant as a STEM Teaching Participant.
After teaching for twenty years, Ms. Rohan states that one of the biggest rewards of her teaching career is "seeing all the great things that students can do to make a difference." She acts as Head Advisor of the YAMFest Committee since attending the Bezos Scholars Program with Kassra. Ms. Rohan believes nothing has impacted society as greatly as the technology advancements in recent decades in the area of digital media and hopes this festival a group of special students is going to positively impact the community by having fun, informative workshops on how we all could use technology positively to better our lives.

Leigh Ramsey
Neil was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, but has lived almost all of his life in Greensboro, North Carolina. Currently, Neil is a senior International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate at Grimsley. He enjoys playing tennis competitively for his school and volunteering in many organizations across the Triad area. Neil spends the majority of his summer vacation volunteering at Moses Cone Hospital and works as a tutor at a local tutoring center during the week. In addition, he enjoys hosting cultural shows with the India Association of the Triad to immerse those around him and himself in the Indian culture. Neil decided to join the YAMFest team as he has a growing interest in learning about new technologies and gadgets.

Samantha Jhingree
Saumya has been living in Greensboro for about 5 years now. Prior to that, she has lived in Seattle, Los Angeles, and India. Saumya works diligently as an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate at Grimsley High School. Throughout high school, she has actively participated in service learning on both the school and county level. She is also heavily involved in learning Indian Classical Dance. Additionally, she enjoys playing tennis, hosting cultural events, and interacting with people. YAMFest is a very different opportunity that she is honored to be a part of.

Ruhani Agrawal
Derek Bingham was born and raised in Orlando, Florida where he lived for 12 years. He is now a senior at Grimsley High School with the endeavor to graduate with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. As an active member in his school and community, Derek presides over the Student Ambassador Club and tutors students at Brooks Global Elementary School. On the weekends, Derek helps construct a state-wide trail known as the Mountains to Sea Trail and holds a steady job as a Crew Trainer for the McDonald’s Corporation.
Derek thoroughly enjoys all aspects of technology and media within the world today. He is a leader of the ACT Modules Committee in which he teaches students intriguing ways of exploring the arts through technology.

Callie Daniel
Ana Bauer is a senior International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate at Grimsley High School. She uses social media to explore the world outside of Greensboro and share her attempts at filmmaking. When she is not perusing the Internet, Ana volunteers as a teen art guide at the Weatherspoon Art Museum. She also participates in her local I Am That Girl chapter, a non-profit aimed to connect and empower girls.

Melisa Yuce
Ruth Cox has lived in Greensboro, North Carolina all her life and is now a senior at Grimsley High School in pursuit of her International Baccalaureate Diploma. She has enjoyed playing softball for Grimsley during the spring and now works as a tutor at a tutoring center throughout the week. Ruth aims to create a more inclusive atmosphere as vice president of the Student Human Relations Commission, as well as serve the community within the Key Club.

Lindsay Leonard
Morgan Bowling was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and has lived in Greensboro all her life. She is a senior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Grimsley High School. Throughout high school, she has actively participated in the Student Ambassador Club and Calling All Future Educators program where she engages in conferences that aim to increase teachers’ abilities in presentations through different media. Also, she is heavily involved with soccer in playing on school teams and club teams where she has been team captain for four years. She hopes to bring her dedication and desire to lead others to the YAMFest opportunity.

Leanh Ta
Lanier Gray was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a senior at Grimsley High School passionate about diversity and equality and participates in the International Baccalaureate Program. In addition, she holds active roles in school, such as Senior Class Vice President, Student Human Relations Commission President, Key Club Vice-President, and more.

Lia Bauert
Kelly Griffin is a Grimsley senior IB student and a member of National Honor Society. She is President of Key Club, and active in SHRC and Spanish Club. She is an ambassador for NCCJ, and was a delegate to Anytown in summer of 2012. Her artistic involvement includes her role as a soprano in Grimsley’s Madrigal singers and as an active member of Tri – M Music honor society.
Kelly enjoys her community activities, and looks forward to helping out with the Youth and Media Festival this year as a leader of the Marketing Committee.

Susan Aboeid
Ellie Hardwick was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and is a senior at Grimsley High School. Ellie has been a Girl Scout since the 1st grade and enjoys making Greensboro a better place. She has participated in the Grimsley High School Marching Band and Wind Ensemble since sophomore year, in which she plays the oboe. She also participates in many clubs at Grimsley including Tri-M Music Honor Society (where she is a Historian), National Honor Society, Spanish Club, and TAGS service club. She looks forward to being a part of YAMFest!

Susan Chen
Cole Smith is a senior at Grimsley High School in the IB Program. He is captain of the Grimsley Drum Line “Blue Steel” which has won “Best Drum Line” at the North Carolina State A&T University for the past two years. Cole enjoys independent film and folk music, and spends time discovering new projects in both areas. In addition to percussion, he plays guitar, mandolin, and banjo in his spare time, immersing himself further into the indie folk genre.
