Last Year's Winners! - CAMERON MCNEILL and NEIL HARWANI!
The purpose of our idea is to create an info-terminal. This terminal will not only be a wi-fi provider to those around it but also give information on the city of Greensboro while charging one’s phone. It would be located around bus stops and famous places, possibly Woolworth’s. The information provided would range from history about the city, to events, arts, plays, and bus schedules so a daily resident can learn something new every day and a visitor can learn about what makes the city so lively and interesting. The terminal’s charging ports and wifi would also cater to this generation’s continuous usage of cell phones and electronic devices and allow people to still be technologically in touch with the world around them.
So far a scale design has been made for the terminal and the program to go into this terminal has been completed. The supplies list was checked off, and we know what we need to get and do to progress with our idea. We have talked with city representatives and even determined a bus stand to use in front of the Downtown Bryan YMCA. All we need is for the city to contact us back as to help in securing supplies and professional help in installing this terminal in the city.

The Big Ideas Competition has been cancelled for this year. YAMFest would still like to honor the winners of last year's competition!
